Photos from my 21st Birthday Party

Saturday (May 5th) was my 21st birthday party and honestly I can't believe I'm that old just yet.
It feels like just yesterday I was in grade school sitting up late with my best friends eating peanut butter, watching Pirates of the Caribbean (Totally had a crush on Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp) and staying up late at church camp. Fun times.
I'm so thankful for everyone who came out to help me celebrate the day.
I had a blast.

As you've probably noticed I had a Hunger Games cake even though it was sort of hard to tell with the red frosting.

Jon and Brandi

My little brother Jonathan and his girlfriend Brandi decided they didn't want to go to their senior prom and instead opted to have their own type of prom. The two spent the day together and then went out for dinner and a walk around the park.

All images where taken by me except for the ones that I am in (those were taken by our mom).
Images were shot with a Canon Powershot point and shoot camera and there was no editing on any of these.

Elisabeth's baptism

My little sister got baptized tonight.
Here are the photos from the event.
We're all so proud of her.
She got the Holy Ghost this morning during Super Church and Bro Knieriem baptized her tonight in Jesus name.

Miss Rosalie

Over the holidays we got a new dog. She is a miniature collie and she's the sweetest thing ever.
Her name is Rosalie, yes like the Twilight character, no we didn't name her. We call her Rose or Rosie.
She loves to snuggle and play and she's so much fun to have around.

Waiting...

Rose wants out of the bedroom so she can run through the house.

Some old photos that got a touch up

A few months back I posted two photos of my younger cousin Erika on my facebook page but wasn't quite sure how I liked them.

I wanted to capture Erika not everything else in the photo as well. The photos ended up coming out way too bright and there was too much background color so Erika wasn't the main focus in the photos anymore.

While playing around with the photos in photoshop, I discovered what I should have done those many months ago, made the photos sepia. By removing the bright colors and simply using the sepia tones, you are now able to focus on Erika and not the area surrounding her.

You can view the original photos here.

Christmas Time Again!

I love the Christmas holiday. I love to give gifts and Christmas is the best time to give them. Sometimes I'll make things and other times I'll buy little things for friends and family members. This year, I'm doing a bit of both.

Homemade cookies and Christmas cards for the friends that live close and I was hoping to get some out to my long distance friends, but it was a bit harder than I thought, so I wasn't able to do that.

I'm looking forward to next Sunday and being with family. Also, since it's on a Sunday, we will have church service Christmas morning. Honestly, I can't think of a better way to spend the holiday.
